My name is Stephanie Shohet. I am a certified Forza instructor and personal trainer, as well as an office manager and personal care assistant. I was trained in Forza instruction in New York City by Ilaria Montagnani, creator of this awesome workout, and I have been teaching it since March of 2009.
Forza is a unique and intense strength-building and cardiovascular workout. Using a wooden sword, we practice samurai sword moves to build upper body and core strength. By adding squats and lunges to the cuts, Forza is really a full body workout. In addition to the physical benefits, Forza is great for building self-esteem, venting frustration, and developing focus and concentration. It is appropriate for any fitness level, but not if one has a back or shoulder injury. Footwear is optional, and many prefer to be barefooted, but I like to wear cross-trainers for class. Bring water, and prepare to work hard.
